Free lab report reader: upload your blood test, get it explained in plain language
Lab reports are a wall of numbers, units and abbreviations. Upload a photo or PDF and MedDroid reads every value, shows which ones are outside the lab's range, and explains them in everyday words, with what to ask your doctor.
In the MedDroid assistant, tap + → Read a report or scan, then use your camera or upload a photo or PDF.
How it works
- STEP 1
Upload a photo or PDF
Take a photo of your report or upload the lab's PDF. Several pages? Add up to 4 files at once.
- STEP 2
MedDroid reads the values
Every test is read top to bottom with its value, unit and the lab's normal range, and the ones outside the range are marked.
- STEP 3
Get it in plain language
A short explanation in everyday words, whether anything looks serious, and what to do next, including what to ask your doctor.
What you get
Blood report (example)
Illustrative example with made-up values, not a real patient. Your own report is read the same way.
Needs attention
| Haemoglobin | 11.4 g/dL ▼ Low | Range 12.0 – 15.5 |
| Fasting glucose | 106 mg/dL ▲ High | Range 70 – 99 |
| LDL cholesterol | 138 mg/dL ▲ High | Range below 100 |
✓ 21 other values in the normal range
In simple words
Haemoglobin is a little low and fasting sugar and LDL cholesterol are a little high. The other 21 values are inside the lab's range.
Is it serious?
Mild changes like these are common and usually not urgent, but they are worth discussing at your next visit.
What to do next
- Ask your doctor if the low haemoglobin needs an iron test
- Ask whether an HbA1c test is needed for the fasting sugar
Reports and values it explains
- Complete blood count (CBC)
- Thyroid (TSH, T3, T4)
- Lipid profile (cholesterol)
- Liver function (LFT)
- Kidney function (RFT / KFT)
- HbA1c and blood sugar
- Vitamin D
- Vitamin B12
- Dengue tests (NS1, IgM, IgG)
- Iron studies and ferritin
- Electrolytes (sodium, potassium)
- CRP and ESR
It also reads urine reports, prescriptions and other lab reports. Pick a panel below for a reader page about that report.
Your report, your choice. You can read a report without an account. If you are signed in, MedDroid asks before adding it to your health records, and nothing is saved there without your yes. Privacy policy
Not a diagnosis — always discuss results with your doctor. MedDroid is an AI assistant and can make mistakes. It explains reports in general terms and does not replace your doctor or laboratory. If you feel very unwell, call your local emergency number (108 or 112 in India).
Frequently asked questions
Is the lab report reader really free?
Yes. The free Community Edition includes 1 report read a day, whether or not you have an account. Paid plans allow more (fair use of up to 5 report reads a day).
Do I need to sign in?
No, you can read a report without an account. Sign in only if you want to keep it: MedDroid then asks before adding the report to your health records, and saves nothing there without your yes.
Which files can I upload?
A photo of the report (camera or gallery) or a PDF from the lab, up to 4 files at a time, and every page is read. Word, Excel and text files also work: they are turned into a PDF on your device first.
Can I get the explanation in my own language?
Yes. Ask MedDroid to reply in your language, for example "reply in Tamil" or "activate Hindi", and the explanation comes in that language.
Can I send my report on WhatsApp instead?
Yes. Send the photo (JPG, PNG or WebP) or PDF, up to 10 MB, to MedDroid on WhatsApp at +91 99941 19579. The same free daily limit applies.
Is this a diagnosis?
No. MedDroid explains what the values on your report mean in general, so you can understand them and prepare questions. Only your doctor can interpret the results with your symptoms and history.
