HbA1c and fasting sugar are a little above normal, in the range labs call prediabetes. Post-meal sugar is inside the range.

Is it serious?

Not an emergency. This is an early warning that can often be improved with lifestyle changes.

What to do next

  • Ask your doctor how often to recheck HbA1c
  • Ask about a diet and activity plan

Values it explains

Also post-prandial (PP) sugar, random blood sugar, estimated average glucose (eAG) and urine sugar when they are on the report.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between HbA1c and fasting sugar?

Fasting sugar is your blood glucose at one moment after an overnight fast. HbA1c reflects your average sugar over about 3 months. Doctors often use both together.

Does MedDroid change my diabetes medicine?

No. It explains the report. Never change or stop a diabetes medicine without your doctor. If sugar is very high with vomiting, drowsiness or confusion, seek emergency care (108 or 112 in India, or your local emergency number).

Is the lab report reader really free?

Yes. The free Community Edition includes 1 report read a day, whether or not you have an account. Paid plans allow more (fair use of up to 5 report reads a day).

Can I get the explanation in my own language?

Yes. Ask MedDroid to reply in your language, for example "reply in Tamil" or "activate Hindi", and the explanation comes in that language.

Is this a diagnosis?

No. MedDroid explains what the values on your report mean in general, so you can understand them and prepare questions. Only your doctor can interpret the results with your symptoms and history.
