WhatsApp appointment link generator
Free · runs in your browser · no sign-upMost patients in India already message their doctor on WhatsApp. Give them one link that opens a chat with your clinic number and a ready booking message asking for their name, preferred date and time. Share it as a link, a QR code at reception, a button on your website or a printed poster.
WhatsApp appointment link
Runs only in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to MedDroid or saved: close the page and it is gone.
Your WhatsApp booking link
Enter your clinic’s WhatsApp number to get the link.
Ready for an online booking page instead of a chat?
A WhatsApp link still needs someone to reply and fix a time. MedDroid TeleConnect gives you a free booking page (medicalandroid.com/d/your-name) where patients pick one of your free slots, join a waiting list when you are full and fill a pre-consult form. You keep WhatsApp for questions.
How the link works
WhatsApp’s official click-to-chat format is https://wa.me/<number>?text=<message>. The number is written with the country code and no plus sign, spaces or leading zero, and the message is URL-encoded. When a patient taps the link, WhatsApp opens a chat with your number and the message already typed; they only press send.
The link does not book anything by itself. Your receptionist (or you) replies to confirm a time.
Where to use it
- Your Google Business Profile “Appointment link”.
- Instagram and Facebook bio, YouTube channel description.
- SMS to new patients, and your email signature.
- A QR poster at reception and on prescriptions, so patients can book their follow-up.
- A button on your clinic website (copy the HTML below).
Tips for clinics
- Use a WhatsApp Business number that staff can answer, not your personal phone.
- Set a greeting and an away message with your OPD hours.
- Ask only what you need to book: name, preferred date and time. Do not ask patients to send reports or personal health details before you have explained how you handle them (India’s DPDP Act applies to clinics too).
- For emergencies, your poster and away message should say “call 108 / 112”, not WhatsApp.

Questions
How do I create a WhatsApp link for my clinic?
Enter your clinic WhatsApp number with the country code and choose a message. The tool builds the wa.me link, a QR code, a website button and a printable poster in your browser.
Does the WhatsApp link work on computers?
Yes. On a phone it opens the WhatsApp app; on a computer it opens WhatsApp Web or the desktop app.
Is it free and is my number stored?
It is free. The link is built in your browser; your number and message are not sent to MedDroid or stored.
Can patients book a time slot directly?
Not through WhatsApp. For self-booking in your own free slots, use a MedDroid TeleConnect booking page (free).
Privacy. Runs only in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to MedDroid or saved: close the page and it is gone. MedDroid is software for clinics and hospitals; this tool gives general practice-management help, not legal, tax or medical advice.
