Set these same hours in MedDroid TeleConnect and the OPD queue
TeleConnect cuts your bookable slots with exactly these rules (slot length, gap after each slot, daily maximum), and adds leave days, same-day booking on or off, minimum notice and a waiting list that offers freed slots. The OPD Queue add-on runs tokens and a waiting-room screen for walk-ins.
How the slots are worked out
Each session starts its first slot at the session start. The next slot starts one slot length plus the gap later, and a slot is only added if it ends by the session end. A break splits a session in two, so no slot runs into it.
Example: 9:00–1:00 with 15-minute slots and a 5-minute gap gives slots every 20 minutes, 9:00 to 12:40, which is 12 patients. Without the gap it is 16. These are the same rules MedDroid TeleConnect uses to show your free slots to patients.
Choosing a slot length
- 5–10 min: quick reviews, prescription renewals, report checks.
- 10–15 min: a typical general OPD consult in India.
- 20–30 min: new patients, specialist consults, counselling, teleconsults.
A 5–10 minute gap absorbs late patients and note-writing, so the evening does not run an hour behind. If most of your patients are follow-ups, try a shorter slot and keep a few longer ones for new cases.
Sharing your timetable
- Copy the WhatsApp text and post it in your clinic group or as your WhatsApp Business “hours”.
- Print the timetable for reception so staff give the same times on the phone.
- Put the same hours on your Google Business Profile and your doctor profile card.
- When hours change, change them everywhere on the same day.

Questions
How many patients can I see in a 4-hour OPD?
It depends on slot length and the gap you keep. With 15-minute slots and no gap a 4-hour session has 16 slots; with a 5-minute gap it has 12. Enter your own hours above to see your number.
Does the gap come after the last slot too?
The gap is the time between slots. A slot only needs to fit inside the session, so the last slot can end exactly at closing time.
What does “max patients per day” do?
Only the first slots up to that number are offered each day; the rest are shown as overflow. TeleConnect uses the same daily limit to stop bookings once the day is full.
Is my schedule saved?
No. It is worked out in your browser and not sent or stored. To keep it, print it, copy the text, or set the same hours in MedDroid TeleConnect.
