Frequently asked questions
Should I whisper to rest my voice?
No. Whispering can strain the voice box more than gentle speaking. It is better to rest the voice and speak softly only when needed.
When is hoarseness a concern?
Hoarseness that lasts more than three weeks, especially in smokers, should be checked by an ENT doctor to rule out other causes.
